M.F. is a strategic marketing manager with B2B and B2C experience, including 10 years of experience in the highly regulated healthcare industry. Prior to taking a career break, M.F. was Marketing Product Manager for Blue Shield of California from 2001-2005, where she led product innovation and managed the pipeline for B2B and later B2C health plans. She was promoted after successfully leading an initiative to streamline large and national accounts B2B sales and marketing processes. Prior to this, M.F. worked for Kaiser Permanente for three years, first as a Marketing Research Analyst and later she was recruited to become Marketing Project Manager for Strategic Accounts. Her initiatives resulted in significant membership growth through new product launches, exploiting cross-selling opportunities, retaining profitable business, and strong competitive positioning. She has led matrix teams across diverse business units, geography and functions. While on career break, she has kept her marketing skills sharp through her community leadership roles. She is proficient in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), DropBox, and Videoconferencing (Zoom, FaceTime, Blackboard Collaborate). M.F. has a BA in Communication from the University of California Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing her Digital Marketing Pro certification from the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) as well as her Marketing Management certification from the American Marketing Association (AMA).
