M.M. has 9+ years of merchandise planning and category management experience within brick and mortar and e-commerce business models. She currently works as a Category Management Senior Analyst at a CPG company where she is responsible for driving category, brand, and market share growth across 45+ grocery customers. Prior to her current role, she worked at Staples, Burberry, and Macy’s. She was promoted within a year to the next level at each company excelling from Associate Planner to Planning Manager. Through these experiences, she was able to gain knowledge from both a retail and wholesale perspective. Her two primary focuses were the creation of annual merchandising strategic plans by division, department, product classification, and location as well as the creation of the annual financial plan supporting sales, margin, and inventory goals. She received four awards recognizing work ethic, achievement, collaboration, and behavior consistent with company values. She was also chosen by the Director of Inventory and Planning to take part in four internal committees: developing best practices, supply chain academy, advanced track career workshop, and establishing a company-wide forecasting tool. She started her career in investment banking where she spent 5+ years holding multiple management positions. She is proficient in IRI, RSi Retail Solutions, Oracle Demantra, and Microsoft Office.
