M.W. has more than 20 years of content-management experience, specifically in the publishing industry. He started his career using online production systems to edit and produce content and has since switched to the technical side to help build and maintain content-management software. For the past four years at a major content provider in the library services industry, he has been a senior business analyst and, most recently, a technical product manager of eBooks. From 2007 to 2012, he worked at Forrester Research as a senior business analyst, where he wrote requirements for major upgrades to the company’s content-production systems. He was also an editor at Forrester Research from 1998 to 2007, sharpening its analytic research for technical leaders and executives. On a contract basis, from 2011 to 2016 he worked as an online annotator for HERE North America, evaluating its users’ geolocation search results for accuracy. His experience includes editing, requirements writing in an Agile environment, search evaluation, and publishing metadata XML standards, such as ONIX 2.1. He has a BA in Film Studies and a BS in Technical Writing from Carnegie Mellon.
