For 26 years M.E. managed public affairs for leading Silicon Valley technology companies, including AutoDesk, Adobe Systems, and Intel. He has successfully handled every aspect of public affairs, including operations, sales and business development support, media relations, community affairs, government relations, and corporate philanthropy. He has been effective on a wide variety of policy issues and with all levels of the federal government and with national governments in Europe and Asia. He has worked as an individual contributor and managed small staffs and consultants. A sampling of his roles include: Director of Government Affairs for Autodesk (2011-2014); Director of Public Policy for Adobe Systems (2003-2009), VP of Public Policy to TechNet, a technology association made up of CEOs and venture capitalists (1997-2001); and Manager of Government Affairs for Intel (1988-1994). He is proficient in office productivity software, budgeting and office accounting. Michael has an MBA from UC Berkeley and a BA in Economics from UC Santa Cruz.
