N.F. has 9 years of project management experience working on Boston’s “Big Dig”, one of the country’s largest, multi-billion dollar civil engineering and construction projects. From 1996-2005, N.F. worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff in four progressively responsible project management roles, all of which were related to Boston’s Central Artery Tunnel Project. From 2003-2005, she served in a contract management role, reviewing and negotiating contractor proposals and claims for a $210M contract. From 2001-2003, she was the Office Engineer for a cut and cover tunnel project ($185M) and handled all aspects of payments, estimates, project schedules, punch lists, submittals, correspondence, and contract scope of work. Of note, she developed an Oracle module for tracking inter-contract back charge and scope transfers, which was implemented project wide. From 1996-2001, she was a Field Engineer and Field Technician where she worked on the job sites inspecting all aspects of construction. She reported construction activity, monitored contract compliance and project schedule, and coordinated with contract superintendents and labor foremen. Since leaving the workforce she has been an active volunteer in leadership roles and has prepared personal income taxes for family and friends. N.F. is proficient in MS Office and is familiar with MS Project. She has a MBA from University of Massachusetts and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.
