N.K. (Potomac, MD) has 15+ years of experience in planning, managing and executing meetings and programs both domestically and internationally. She has deep experience working with diverse audiences from young professionals to senior dignitaries within the military, federal government, NGO, academia and private sectors. She currently works on a project basis for the United States Institute for Peace (USIP), where she served as a Senior Program Officer from 2004-2013. She managed their SENSE computer simulation program, which involved locating venues that met specific IT needs, administering and managing the budget, preparing training materials, recruiting participants, and reporting results and outcomes. She managed and executed these programs in the U.S. as well as in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Turkey, including overseeing logistics and travel for participants and trainers. In addition, she regularly took the lead on implementing special projects for the Institute, including managing VIP/dignitary groups at special and high-profile events. She is proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and MAC and PC platforms and is fluent in Arabic and Turkish.
