Engineering professional with 14 cumulative years of experience as an operator with 3d Force Recon Company, United States Marines Corps and as an Aerospace Engineer working for defense contractors. This unique combination of risk management, decision making under pressure, and technical skills have enabled R.K. to succeed in leading teams on high risk technical projects. Most recently he worked for an aerospace company designing military fighter engines with work primarily related to the exhaust nozzle and afterburner. During his time there, he worked in mechanical and aero design roles. Prior to this work, R.K. worked as the lead Reconnaissance instructor on a deployment to Africa training partner nation forces in patrolling and amphibious tactics. From 2007-2011, he served as the Dive Chief in charge of the dive locker and was responsible for the planning, budget (over 2 million in equipment), training, and execution of all unit diving operations. R.K. was meritoriously promoted to Corporal in 2007. From 2005-2007, he completed his initial training and was awarded a medal for valor in combat during his tour to Iraq. R.K. has a current security clearance and a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering. Open to relocation to Boston, MA and Washington, D.C. areas.
