S.P. is an HR strategist with a proven ability to integrate HR initiatives with company objectives. S.P. is a dedicated HR leader with 25 plus years of experience in human resource planning and management and is adept at building consensus and establishing relationships built on trust and integrity. S.P. is currently an independent consultant providing strategic workforce planning and is on the Northern Virginia Employers Advisory Committee. Prior to owning her own business, she was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and Operations for 18 years in a fast-paced non-profit trade association. S.P. had several promotions in human resource management where her role was expanded to include space management and the associations’ real estate ventures. S.P. managed a staff of six professionals and performed in the capacity of a consultant, advisor and coach providing guidance and support to professional level staff, senior management, and the President & CEO. She was responsible for strategic planning, human resources modeling, staff planning and allocation, talent acquisition, retention, change management, performance management, employee relations, training and workforce development, salary administration and executive compensation. As a seasoned benefits consultant (from 2011-2016), S.P. proactively managed healthcare cost by implementing an HRA Plan design with an aggressive prescription drug clinical management program that reduced rates by 20% and held employee contributions flat and created a $320,000 windfall the first year. She began her career in human resources with the American Society of Travel Agents. She is a Subject Matter Expert in HRIS system integrations and migrations. She has a BS in Criminal Justice Administration and is currently pursuing an MS in Human Resource Development from Villanova University.
