S.S. is a communications and marketing professional with 15+ years of domestic and international experience (mostly B2B and some B2C). She is currently an independent consultant providing writing and marketing services to start-ups. Upon relocating to India from 2006-2011, S.S. was the Director of Communications, Brand Development & Marketing for a mid-sized international infrastructure and energy company (2011-2013) and established a successful retail brand and managed all operational and marketing aspects of the business (2006-2009). Prior to this, she spent 5 years at Cox Communications HQ in Atlanta, where she was Corporate Marketing & Promotions Manager. She served as the main liaison between 32 nationwide marketing departments and networks such as VIACOM, Lifetime, and Discovery Communications. She has a Masters in Journalism from University of South Carolina and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Digital Marketing at Georgetown University.
