V.S. is an attorney, researcher/writer, and public policy expert. She has a track record of successfully advocating pro-business initiatives to the U.S. Congress and addressing policy challenges related to trade, transportation, employment, and the food industry. She is currently a Researcher/Writer for Paid Leave for the United States, where she produces white papers and political briefing materials. From 2017-2018, she was an Attorney for a small law firm in MD specializing in business planning, estate planning, and intellectual property services. Prior to taking a career break, she directed government affairs on behalf of multi-national agribusinesses, serving as Director of Government Affairs for Bunge North America (2004-2008) and Director of Government Relations for the National Grain Trade Council (2003-2004). She has a JD in International Business Law from George Mason’s Scalia Law School and is licensed to practice in MD.
