DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SALES

FlexProfessionals is seeking a dynamic sales and business development person in the DC Metro area to help grow customer base
 

Hours/Schedule:  Approx 32 hours/week 

 

Job Type: Direct

 

Location Requirements: Hybrid (1 meeting/week in person and ocassional client meetings and network events around DC Metro)

Rate: $70,000 (plus commission based on gross profit)

 
Job Description: 

The Director of Client Sales is responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan that will effectively identify, qualify and generate new business opportunities within the small-medium size market across the DC metro region. This person will also support the Account Executive team in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities within existing customer base.

We are looking for a highly motivated and “hunter” type individual who can help grow our business while supporting our mission. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential!

 
Responsibilities:  

New Business (75%)

  • Offer strategic input on most effective ways to create new business relationships that translate into qualified leads.
  • Research and identify new partners, referral sources and clients within target market.  Create and execute action plan on best way to penetrate.
  • Set up a target number of sales meetings/calls per month (targets established prior to start). Arrange and occasionally participate in initial meetings. Record all “touch points” in database and work with Account Execs to ensure smooth transition when passing on qualified leads.
  • Research and identify new networking opportunities and groups/forums to join/participate in based on target market.
  • Identify and participate in speaking opportunities, promoting company services and value to business customers.

Client/Sales Support (25%)

  • Work with sales/account exec team to identify sales tools needed to assist in relationship building and identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Create/update a minimum of one sales tool per quarter based on sales team feedback.
  • Support Account Executives with overflow work including filling pipelines for new or difficult jobs.
  • Support Account Executives in client business development and other client meetings where appropriate.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of professional work experience in B2B sales, business development and/or lead generation a MUST
  • Previous experience in the staffing/recruiting industry (a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to actively listen, the ability to be assertive and persuasive, and the ability to learn and think on your feet
  • Proficient computer skills (Word/Excel) are also required for efficient documentation and research
  • Flexibility to attend periodic networking events, some of which may be early morning and/or after-hours
