Job Description:
The Product & Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of
the company and is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing new products, and cultivating strategic partnerships to expand our market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor market dynamics and competitive activity to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, industry networking, and strategic analysis.
- Evaluating product and business development opportunities and gathering business input to define product requirements.
- Developing the business case using business, consumer, and market insights to substantiate the commercial opportunity and fix the target product specification.
- Responsible for the development and delivery of projects on time, to an agreed specification and cost
- Ensure that projects updates are communicated effectively ensuring stakeholders are informed of any changes to the project status effectively and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the development and ongoing accuracy of project timelines, and budgets.
- Conducting product testing and validation to ensure product performance, quality & safety.
- Compiling technical dossiers to support regulatory compliance and gate approvals.
- Strategic sourcing, new supplier onboarding, product & specification
- Collaborating with key internal functions including Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and Packaging
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or other technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG, Healthcare, or Medical Devices
- Proven track record of success in an NPD, product management or business development roles
- Organized with strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Capable of presenting numerical and technical information effectively.
- Self-confident and able to drive decisions in cross-cultural situations.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to articulate ideas, issues, and resolutions clearly in one-on-one and group dialogue.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving results. An understanding of basic financial statements and analysis (P&L, GP, COGS) Team-oriented approach and collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
