Rate: $165K plus bonus

 
Job Description:  As a global asset manager with a diverse set of investment strategies, this company continuously works to create an environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in all its forms. The Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) will be responsible for collaborating across the organization to enhance these initiatives related to the Company’s US component of their DEI strategy

 
Responsibilities:  
 

•    Partner with the CEO, Head of Human Resources and Advisory Committee to develop and achieve DEI goals and strategy aligned with the organization.
•    Collaborate with leadership, managers, and employees to promote a culture of inclusivity and belonging. 
•    Function as the primary internal expert on matters relating to DEI. This includes providing thought leadership and guidance regarding current events, and meeting regularly with senior leadership to provide updates regarding DEI matters and best practices.
•    Research, develop, recommend, and implement creative strategies to cultivate and advance the organization’s DEI goals.
•    Lead efforts related to diversity analytics, including benchmarking, workforce demographics, and/or trends to evaluate the progress and effectiveness of initiatives and to identify gaps. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
•    Chair the DEI Advisory Committee, focused on establishing DEI goals and the strategy to achieve them.
•    Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop new strategies and resources to recruit underrepresented talent.
•    Work with Talent Management to retain, develop, and advance underrepresented talent.
•    Direct and support Employee Resource Groups to help define and attain their business plans.
•    Collaborate with the Director of Employee Engagement and Community and the Vendor Management Office to identify engagement opportunities to make a positive impact in underrepresented areas.
•    Work with global DEI teams to coordinate efforts and share ideas.
•    Identify and implement DEI learning opportunities.
•    Partner with Marketing and Public Relations to develop DEI content for our intranet and other platforms and represent the Company in external DEI forums, conferences, and events.
•    Enhance and engage external contacts to foster industry relationships, identify external programs, stay abreast of standard practices, and strengthen DEI expertise.

 

Qualifications:  

•    Bachelor's Degree preferred.
•    Seven plus years of directly related experience.
•    Proven experience and knowledge of best practices related to DEI, focused on driving meaningful business and employee experience outcomes.
•    Strong people skills with the ability to influence and engage in constructive dialogue, cross-functionally and at all levels.
•    Extensive knowledge of effective strategies designed to advance DEI in the workplace.
•    Considerable knowledge of laws and regulations impacting DEI (i.e., Title VII and Affirmative Action) and demonstrated experience using that knowledge to cultivate an engaged, diverse, and inclusive workforce and manage employee relations and legal issues related to DEI.
•    Collegial, compassionate, and consultative approach with the ability to gracefully navigate different points of view and facilitate productive discussions.
•    Adept at balancing strategic thinking, operational execution, and data-driven decision-making.
•    Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
•    Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
•    Strong organizational, project management and execution skills with a proven track record of delivering results while maintaining attention to detail.
