Detail-oriented quick learner with many years’ experience in custom database management who has shifted focus to the educational sphere by completing a Certificate in Instructional Technology Design. K.O. most recently worked for a small educational technology startup, designing demo courses and contributing to software development and testing. Before that, she was the primary developer and manager of a custom database application. She designed a prototype and built it into a production system used by several hundred end-users, and kept it running for two decades by adding and modifying features as needed. In addition to writing, testing, and maintaining source code, she was responsible for direct customer support and supplying documentation and training. While most of her coding work was done in a proprietary object-oriented database language in a Unix environment, she learned to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python on her own. She is proficient in Microsoft Office and Google tools as well as eLearning applications such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360 and Articulate Storyline 3, and various video and audio editors. K.O has a B.A. from Dartmouth College, an M.A. in Computer Science from Cambridge University (U.K.), and a Certificate in Instructional Technology Design from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
