M.B. is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications professional, with a specialization in financial policy issues. From 2014 -2020, he was a high-performing member of the Media Relations department of AARP, where he was involved in more than 200 positive news media placements annually. His work was instrumental in the successful launch of AARP economic security initiatives in the areas of: savings and investing, retirement planning, employment and re-careering, consumer fraud education, Social Security claiming strategies, mortgages, and taxation. M.B. previously held positions in the financial services industry, serving as Director of Public Relations and a member of the Marketing/Communications departments at Folio Investing and Edelman Financial Services. He is an accomplished writer and editor, and is proficient at cross-channel marketing that leverages earned and paid media, content development and social media. M.B. holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State University.
