S.D. is a well-rounded marketing communications manager with 14 years of experience developing integrated campaigns for global companies that incorporate marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, and internal communications elements. In 2009 she was recruited to join the local team of an international defense contractor, Airbus, where she coordinated communications activities for two lines of business and three subsidiaries until 2013. She was valued for her ability to learn and use software tools ranging from SharePoint-based content management systems to digital media editing and social media metrics applications. From 2005-2009 she worked at BAE Systems, where she specialized in promotional media and brand management. She was seconded to the U.K.-based Brand & Promotion team for six months and was part of a corporate acquisition communications team that won the global group’s highest communications award. S.D. started her career at an ad agency in upstate NY as an account executive on the BlueCross BlueShield team. As an advanced user of the full MS Office suite, she has created tools to facilitate activities such as budget management and targeted press release distribution. She has a BA in Advertising/Public Relations from Penn State University.
