She managed an accounting team of 3 that was responsible for AR, AP, and collections. She provided account and expense analysis to track and control expenses, prepared financial statements, oversaw audit, and drafted financial annual reports to shareholders. She has held senior financial reporting and analysis roles at The Mills Corporation, American Management Systems (AMS), and MCI. At federal government contractor AMS, M.R. prepared financial statements, analyzed general ledger account activity, tracked revenues and expenses, provided SEC reporting, managed audits, and supported investor relations.  She created and implemented a contract review process for the company and taught a revenue recognition workshop to business managers to ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls. J.S. is a customer service and administrative support professional with strong analytical skills. She is eager to return to the workforce after serving in a multitude of volunteer roles. She recently returned to school to fulfill nursing prerequisites and was nominated for membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She has also volunteered for many years in teacher support and administrative roles at local elementary and high schools. In these roles, she created schedules, managed inventory, served as a cashier, assisted classroom teachers, communicated with parents, and provided librarian support. Prior to her career break, J.S. provided analytical and administrative assistance to various federal government contractors and worked for a firm providing actuarial analysis.  She has a Bachelor in Mathematics from Bradley University and an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

J.V. has 18+ years of Controller-level financial management experience, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, pricing, and procurement. She has worked for large multinational corporations as well as for medium to small companies. She is currently an Independent Consultant providing outsourced CFO and accounting services to mostly small businesses. Prior to this, she was a Financial Controller for Dell Australia from 2014-2015, where she was responsible for a business portfolio with annual revenues of $250M. She achieved the targeted P&L goal of +5% yearly growth, signed off on all bid and contract pricing, managed monthly closing and financial reporting, and was accountable for overall operating expenditure. From 2011-2014, J.V was the Pricing Manager at Dell Australia. From 2007-2011, J.V. was the FP&A Manager for Dell Australia. She started her career as a Cost Accountant with Motorola. She is proficient in QuickBooks, Oracle and Hyperion. She has a Bachelor’s in Accounting (Honors) from University Malaya and is a Chartered Accountant (CA).

M.V. is a business and marketing professional with over 12 years of experience managing multifaceted projects and teams within her department and across the company. For the past seven years she has worked for an international tableware company in increasingly responsible roles where she succeeded in managing teams, projects and marketing programs in a high-growth, fast-paced work environment. During her time there she was promoted twice in 3 years and increased consumer sales revenue in first six months of 2018 by 67%. Prior to that, she was an Account and Project Manager for a marketing firm where she managed promotions for Fortune 500 clients, supervised and managed teams, developed and executed account strategies and marketing programs. She is fluent in German, has a Bachelors in International Business Management from the Virginia Commonwealth University and has continued her professional development through leadership and project management courses throughout her career.

H.F. is a sales and management professional with over 20 years of experience in both the non-profit and technology industries. In her most recent role with a non-profit, she sold print and digital advertising as well as convention event sponsorship and exceeded their advertising sales and revenue goals. She had a similar role at Wolf Trap where she also developed a new source of revenue for them. Over the past 11 years, she has been solely responsible for managing the entire sales process from lead generation, sales proposal creation, invoicing and follow up. She is organized and adept at multitasking. She is proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Email and Calendar and has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Marymount University.

M.D. (Baltimore, MD) has more than 20 years of experience in the field of sales and small business management. She has created and managed small businesses, from their development, marketing, client retention, procurement, and HR to accounting needs. Most recently, M.D. successfully worked as a sales assistant for a FlexProfessionals client in the construction industry and received excellent feedback regarding her performance. Prior to this project, she was a Real Estate salesperson licensed in MD, VA and DC. From 2003 to 2009, she lived in Europe where she created a business and also was a consultant for a printing company looking to gain market share. Earlier in her career she ran a Day Spa in DC, managed a team of 10 employees, and sold a skin care line where she created all marketing and POS material, organized trade shows and followed on leads to convert them into viable buyer accounts. She is proficient in Microsoft Suite, several CRM and is familiar with QuickBooks. She is open to a relocation closer to the DC area. She has a Professional Degree (equivalent BS) in Business Management and a Bachelors in International Commerce Operations.

C.J. is currently self-employed as a Proposal Consultant. Most recently, he served as the senior proposal manager for a FlexProfessionals client that needed to rebuild its proposal shop’s capabilities in the wake of some employee turnover. In addition, he provided capture support to another FlexProfessionals client that was positioning an opportunity with FEMA. Prior to that, he was the lead content integrator for a Marine Corps food services proposal with a contract value of $3B. In another previous assignment, he performed business development services for a company pursuing business primarily with USAID, DOS, and international government agencies. Before becoming a consultant, C.J. worked for 20+ years primarily as a Proposal Manager for various federal government contractors, including Data Networks Corporation/ASRC Federal, Dynamics Research Corporation/Engility, Ultra Electronics/Prologic, and The Boeing Company. He has extensive experience in the areas of: proposal writing and editing, color team reviews, capture management and facilitation, business development process optimization, federal marketing research and analysis, and post-award lessons learned analysis. He has an MPA from Indiana University Bloomington and BA from Saint Joseph’s University. C.J. is a member of both the Association of Proposal Management Professionals and the Grant Professionals Association. He holds a Foundation Level certification from APMP.

J.F. is a US Veteran (Coast Guard) with an active Top-Secret Security Clearance and 30+ years of senior-level program management and operations management experience. He has a background in strategic planning, human capital management, workforce development, logistics planning and management, process improvement, quality assurance, and training and development. J.P. is also tech-savvy and an Excel wiz, with a strong background in financial planning & analysis and budgeting & forecasting.  In his most recent position with the Coast Guard from 2016-2018, J.P. was assigned to DOD’s Office of Compensation, where he provided program and policy guidance related to a $9B compensation budget for all DOD personnel. From 2011-2016, he was Director of Workforce Management, Human Capital and Resource Directorate, where he orchestrated the development of service-wide policy and workforce plans to manage a 7,000-person workforce. While at the Coast Guard, he led crisis operations for 17 hurricane operations, including managing personnel, supplies, and equipment and coordinating with FEMA and state and local authorities. He has an MBA from The George Washington University and a BS in Finance and Business from the University of South Florida. He is excited about transitioning to a commercial or nonprofit environment.

D.M. (McLean, VA) has 50+ years of diversified business experience, which offers potential solutions to interim business needs – (Partner with Ernst & Young, CFO and CEO of a $60 million import/export company, founder and CEO of a $7 million import/export company, and founder of a vibrant business advisory practice). In his business advisory practice, D.M. currently helps small business owners start,
grow and exit their businesses. Prior to this, in 2000 D.M. purchased the inventory for one product line from his former company, cut his own deal with the Japanese supplier and founded an import/export company, growing it from one product line ($3 million annual sales) to 5 product lines ($7 million annual sales) in 5 years. D.M. sold the business in 2005 to start his business advisory practice. In 1990 D.M.
became the CFO (and later CEO) of a $30 million import/export business, which doubled in size during his time with the company. The owner died in 1999 requiring D.M. to liquidate the company in a timely fashion for the benefit of the owner’s wife. At Ernst & Young, from 1961 to 1990, D.M. served a diversified audit client base working through the ranks from staff accountant to Partner. He has a Bachelors in Finance and Accounting from California State University at Los Angeles and is a CPA.
